International Cooperation

The department of innovation and international relations is a structural entity of Poltava V.G.Korolenko National Pedagogical University, whose main objective is to expand academic development, establish and intensify international dialogues for building up a professional partner network for dissemination of innovations in the field of education, enhance the credibility and competitiveness of the University in the scientific world.

The work of the Department of innovation and international relations is focused on:

  • organization, coordination of international cooperation in the field of education and science, carried out in PNPU named after V.G. Korolenko as well as to establish educational-methodological, scientific and technical cooperation with foreign universities, research organizations and institutions;
  • increasing the level of innovation in the education system, the effective use of intellectual potential, the facilitation of modern methods of management in the field of intellectual property, promoting the development of commercialization of the objects of intellectual property rights and technology transfer.

Poltava V.G. Korolenko National Pedagogical University has 31 international agreements signed and valid with various educational institutions, research institutions and scientific societies in Europe, North America and Asia.

In 2017 we got 10 agreements signed for accomplishing cooperation in the scientific, educational activities, conducting joint scientific activities, publication of scientific works, exchange of students and professors in order to collaborate with:

  2. Prague Institute for Qualification Enhancement, Czech.
  3. Collegium Civitas, Poland.
  4. Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University, Georgia.
  5. University College UCC, Denmark.
  6. Graduate School Of Business National-Louis University, Poland.
  7. Society of Ukraine-Palatinate, the Federal Republic of Germany.
  8. School of Education, a University of Leeds, the United Kingdom.
  9. The Institute of Sport Science of Shandong province, the People's Republic of China (PRC).
  10. The University of Koblenz-Landau, the Federal Republic of Germany.

In 2017, our students continue to participate in the program of academic staff and students mobility. Thanks to the University participation in the program ERASMUS +, KA1: education (academic) mobility spring semester 2017, three students of the Faculty of philology and journalism studied at the University of UCC, Copenhagen, Denmark (Marharyta Tertychna, Olha Zalyvcha, Arina Siniktutova), then for the autumn semester 2017 two undergraduate students Alina Kisil (In-38) and Liudmyla Harbuz (In-48) were nominated by our institution to sudy in UCC (Copenhagen, Denmark).

In terms of the agreement with the University of Koblenz-Landau (Germany), a student Marharyta Tertychna is studying there for 1 semester in order to learn Germanic studies in the 2017 - 2018 academic year.

From February 27 to March 1, 2017 a group of university professors participated in the International Conference INTERNATIONAL WEEK 2017, held at the University of UCC. The delegation of Poltava V.G. Korolenko National Pedagogical University representatives at this international forum together with the Rector Mykola Stepanenko, the Head of World Literature Department Olga Nikolenko, the Head of the Department of English and German Philology Maryna Zuienko, associate professor of the World Literature Department Inha Kapustian. Poltava scientists gave lectures to the Danish and international students, made reports and presented educational platform Scientific-methodical Center of the English language and World Literature Quality control.

Academic staff of the University have currently implemented projects on the development cooperation with the Fulbright Scholarship Program, which started in 2015, and have partner cooperation with the Embassy of the United States in Ukraine and Ministry of Education which activity is aimed at the exchange of educational experts between Ukraine and the US, at professional development of university teachers in the field of humanities, social, technical and natural science. Under the agreement, Fulbright scholar Isabel Meigs worked as a teacher of English and English literature at the Roman-Germanic Philology Department during September 2016 May 2017.

Under the agreement with the University of Latvia the lecturers of PNPU Ilchenko O.(PhD) and prof. Tkachenko A. held a seminar "The Teaching heritage of A. Makarenko" (presentation and discussion) at the Faculty of Education, Psychology and Art, the University of Latvia (Riga, Latvia) in June 2017.

Many university teachers have been trained in foreign scientific and educational institutions. In particular, from 15 to 20 May , 2017 international weeks at universities in Slovakia, Hungary and Austria on the issue "Innovation in higher education: global trends and regional experience". The following participants as by Prof. Semenovska L.A., prof. Kharchenko O.V., as.prof. Denysovets T.M., as.prof. Shaparenko I.Ye., as. prof. Danysko O.V., as. prof. Hod N.V. received a Certificate of participation. In June Shramko R.H. joined in short-term training at the Graduate School of Business National-Louis University, Nowy Sacz city, the Republic of Poland and got a corresponding certificate of participation.
